Early childhood is a precious time when children’s curiosity, sensitivity, thinking, social skills and confidence grow enormously.

In Victory International School’s Kinder course, children learn joyfully by seeing, touching, trying and discovering for themselves.

While naturally enjoying English, children grow in heart, body, mind and social skills in balance, through play, exploration, creative work, music, physical activity and time with friends.

What matters to us isn’t learning the right answers early.

It’s the curiosity of “I want to try,” the thinking of “Why?” and the confidence of “I did it!”

These experiences, unique to early childhood, grow into motivation and initiative for future learning.

Victory’s Kinder course is where children grow as themselves and build the foundation to move on to elementary learning.

Our Early Childhood Philosophy

Children Learn Best by Doing

Children learn best through real experience.

At Victory, we believe children deepen their understanding by acting, discovering and experiencing for themselves.

For example, when learning about colors,
children don’t just memorize color names. They mix colors, paint pictures and look for the same color in things around them.

When learning about plants,
they don’t just look at pictures. They plant seeds, water them, watch them grow and discover how they change.

Through experiences like these, children learn with all five senses and begin to put their discoveries into words.

We don’t just teach children what to think; we help them learn how to think.

That’s why we value children’s interests and questions, and create an environment where they can try, think and discover for themselves.

“I hear and I forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand.”

(Traditional saying)

8 Features of the Kinder Course

01Learning Through Play

Loving learning through play

For children, play is an important time for learning.

Stacking blocks, playing with sand and water, drawing, pretend play, playing games with friends.

Even everyday play is full of chances to build thinking, imagination, problem-solving and the ability to put ideas into words.

At Victory, we see play not as simple free time, but as an important learning activity that helps children grow.

We turn the questions and discoveries that arise naturally in play into the next step of learning.

“This is fun!” grows into “I want to know more!”

02Open-ended Questions

Building thinking with questions that have more than one answer

Our lessons actively use questions children can think about and answer freely.

For example, when learning about balls:

  • What does it feel like?
  • Why do you think it rolls?
  • What happens if we put it in water?
  • How can we make it move?

Questions like these lead into observing, predicting, experimenting and discussing.

Instead of giving the answer right away, teachers give children time to think for themselves.

When every child’s ideas and opinions are respected, children feel safe expressing their thoughts.

It’s an education that values not just answering correctly, but thinking for yourself.

03English Through Everyday Experiences

An environment where English is part of everyday life

In the Kinder course, English isn’t a special subject to study; it’s something children use naturally in daily life and activities.

Children hear English everywhere: talking with teachers, playing with friends, songs, picture books, games, crafts and exploration.

They listen, imitate and use English, gradually making it their own.

Phonics, picture books and early literacy activities also build interest in reading and writing.

In early childhood, what matters isn’t speaking English perfectly.

It’s the joy of using English, and the happiness of being understood.

Nurturing that feeling builds a strong foundation for learning English in the future.

04Hands-on Learning & Discovery

Using all five senses to nurture the joy of discovery

Learning at Victory centers on real experience.

Play with water, sand and natural materials, simple science experiments, plant observation, crafts and cooking-related activities turn familiar topics into all kinds of discoveries.

By touching, looking, listening, comparing and trying, children notice how things work and change.

“That’s not what I expected!”“I want to try again!”

Valuing discoveries and trial and error like these, we build observation, focus, curiosity and perseverance.

05Creativity & Self-expression

Expressing their own ideas freely

Painting, crafts, music, dance, pretend play and storytelling nurture children’s creativity and self-expression.

At Victory, the goal isn’t for everyone’s work to look the same.

We value each child’s ideas and inventiveness, and respect feelings like “I want to do it this way” and “I want to make something like this.”

Seeing their ideas take shape, and having teachers and friends recognize them, builds confidence.

Each child’s individuality is where creativity begins.

06Confidence, Independence & Social Skills

The joy of doing it yourself, and the ability to connect with others

Early childhood is an important time for building everyday independence and social skills.

At Victory, daily life supports growth: taking care of their own things, tidying up, waiting their turn, working with friends and sharing their feelings.

Sometimes children disagree with friends, or things don’t go the way they want.

Those experiences are also important lessons in understanding others’ feelings, facing their own emotions and finding solutions.

In a warm, trusting relationship with their teachers, children take on challenges with confidence and gradually become independent.

Small successes of “I did it myself!” build confidence and a sense of responsibility.

07Whole Child Development

Growing heart, body, mind and social skills in balance

What matters at Victory isn’t only academics or English, but the growth of the whole child.

Physical activities build motor skills, balance and coordination.

Picture books and conversation expand language and imagination.

Activities with friends nurture kindness and communication skills.

And we create an environment where children can safely take on challenges, respecting each child’s interests and stage of development.

Heart, body and mind: an education that supports every part of a child’s growth.

08Building the Foundation for Elementary

An important foundation for independent learning in Elementary

Victory’s Kinder course isn’t about starting elementary lessons early.

What matters is building the abilities children need to learn deeply in Elementary, in ways that suit early childhood.

For example, the “Why?” thinking that grows through play and experience leads to PBL (inquiry- and problem-based learning) in Elementary.

Comparing, counting and putting shapes together lay the groundwork for understanding math.

Picture books, phonics and everyday English conversation build the foundation for learning subjects in English.

And working with friends, sharing their feelings and sticking with tasks to the end lead on to group work and presentations in Elementary.

What we nurture in early childhood isn’t a quantity of knowledge, but the ability to keep learning.

Victory values a consistent education that connects Kinder to Elementary.

In Kinder, We Nurture the Joy of Future Learning

Every child grows differently.

Their strengths, their interests and the timing of their challenges are all their own.

At Victory, we value those differences and create an environment where every child can learn and grow with confidence.

Discoveries made through play. The joy of working with friends. The confidence of sharing their ideas. The sense of achievement from mastering something difficult.

Each of these becomes a strength that supports their future.

Not just learning English, but building the ability to think, create and thrive in the world through English.

That first step is Victory International School’s Kinder course.

Children Learn Best by Doing.
